The 3^rd Malaysia Wedding Festival incorporating Wedding banquet and Services Expo that held at KL Convention Center. This is a grand event, with well-known bridal studios, gown designers, as well as many more service providers coming together for an all-out expo effort.

Among the bridal studios present, Mon Liza’s Wedding Castle is one of the great bridal studio. It  has captured our attention with its latest trend in wedding portraits that  Called ‘Gu’ Photo. It's the style combines make-up, lighting and a hand-painted picturesque background, creating a classic oil-painting-like feel to the photographs. According to Mon Liza’s staff, the style is a specialty originating from Cheng Du, China; where it is the current trend for most Chinese couples there. 

So far, she added, Mon Liza is the only studio in Malaysia offering the style, being one of the few companies that had obtained the franchise rights from China. The price for the style is around RM2688 plus, including gowns and make-up. It's very valuable!!!

On the side of beverages, wines, champagne and sparkling juice are the current favourites, and Quality Wines had all the variety for each and everyone’s preference: from French brands to Chile reserves, even a few with Australian and Romanian names. However the star for today’s exhibition, aside from the champagne, is the ‘ice wine’—sweet dessert wines served after meals. Their slender, classy package design certainly adds a touch of elegance on the banquet table.

Not wanting to be left out, even KLCC itself is not missing the chance to promote its venue, dedicating a section of the hall for its banquet hall décor: one for Western/ Malay/ Indian wedding banquet, and another section for the Chinese banquet, complete with breathtaking ice sculptures at the grand entrance. Menus, décor details and cake designs are all on display for visitors’ perusal, even with free samples for homemade cookies and desserts.

Finally, there is the Bridal fashion show by well-known local designer Alvin Tay titled ‘Romantic Pledge’. The award-winning designer presented the audience with a cascading of pure white bridal gowns and evening gowns ranging from bright-colored floral designs to elegant metallic hues. And the live singing performance during the fashion show adds a vibrant air to the overall event.

The 3^rd Malaysian Wedding Festival Wedding Banquet & Service Expo is organized by Fox Asia Exposition Sdn. Bhd. and HongKong-Asia Exhibition (Holdings) Ltd. The former is also responsible for all of Malaysia’s Gold and Jewelry Exhibitions; with the latest being the 6th Malaysia International Gold and Jewelry Fair 2009.
